Progressive Jump Spiral

A little while ago I posted about using a Progressive Jump Circle to help Flyer learn to adjust his stride/commitment point on long jumping sequences. Then I wanted to work on slightly more complex jumping sequences. So I came up with what I’m calling a “Progressive Jump Spiral”:

Of course you can start at any obstacle and need to run in both directions so your dog works jumping while turning to their right and their left. You can also run sequences with sharper turns:

If you layout the jumps similarly to my diagram you don’t have to stop on the “last” obstacle, you can just keep going…

I needed to work on some contacts too, so I put them on the outside:

I found a half dozen interesting jumping paths through this layout for us to work on. Give it a try; you are only limited by your own imagination!
