We Tackle Dave Munning's Threadle Distance Challenge
28 Apr 2024
Here’s a great backyard training challenge courtesy of Dave Munnings and Q-Me Agility Training! He called it the threadle distance challenge. He has you setup two jumps and then lead out different distances past the second jumps and direct your dog to threadle the second jump and also proof calling your dog past the jumps.
I’ve always worked Around The Clock on Threadles Mary Ellen Barry on Threadle HandlingThe Connection Between Threadles and Back SidesTraditional Threadle HandlingSingle Sided Threadle HandlingThreadle Sequence (and have some holes we need to work on) but I hadn’t thought of playing around with increasing the distance past the jump this much. Cool!
It looked like a lot of fun and I thought I’d try it with 2yro Spark and work it with threadles to both the right and left. Also, thought I’d throw in taking the jumps forward too. I’m very proud of the little Spark-ster for doing so well.
Thanks for sharing this fun challenge Dave!
